When comparing the causes of death with their eating habits, researchers found that men who regularly eat fish with higher oil content of 34-40 per cent was recorded to reduce the risk of death from prostate cancer from which they suffer.

The researchers say, the type of food seems to have a strong effect on tumors that are still in the early stages of development.

Fish consumption may have a modest protective effect on the risk of prostate cancer development and mortality of certain diseases. These results indicate that early stage tumors may be more responsive to dietary factors and diet can also affect prognosis after diagnosis of early stage prostate cancer.

According to last year's study, conducted at University of California, researchers found that fish oil can reduce the amount of rapid cell division in the prostate cancer tissue, and potentially reduce the likelihood of the disease spreading to other body parts
